Jeremiah J. Brower and Sarah J. Woods "Oops" Baby?

According to the Cass County, Indiana record of marriage for Jeremiah Brower and Sarah Jane Woods, she would have been already 6 months pregnant with John Wesley Brower. Now it makes me wonder if Jeremiah and Sarah had a "shotgun wedding" or if maybe Sarah was a pregnant widow? Sarah was only 21 years old when she married 34 year old Jeremiah.
